Mixing & Mastering: I worked for decades as a sound engineer for a hip hop record label in Chicago, and I continue to mix projects for artists internationally. I designed my own mixing studio in Athens, OH (photos above) and in addition to offering recording services, I also offer mixing, and mastering services.
Audio Production: I’ve produced music for several documentary films, TV commercials, and online content. I have an archive of thousands of original songs that I’m happy to contribute to your project.
Sound Design: I’ve designed sound for everything from TV shows to full scale musical productions. Sound design is a crucial element of overall professionalism for any production.
Audio Editing: I edit songs and other audio tracks, to spec, for musicians, filmmakers and theater companies, dancers, marketers, and wedding couples. Common editorial requests are altering a track’s length, speed or timing, or splicing several tracks into one. I work with wedding couples to create a “best of” mix of favorite songs, paired down to three minutes for a wedding dance, with custom-made intros, transitions, and outros. I work with world-renowned salsa dancers to combine and shorten tracks, and adjust tempos for live performances.
Studio / Acoustic Consultation: I’ve guided the design and construction of 20+ recording studios all over the country. Let’s build something special! My recording aesthetic is simple: keep it real. My goal is always to make the most natural-sounding recording possible. I’m inspired by traditional recording aesthetics from the 50’s, yet use modern technology for a crystal-clear, present, and natural sounding recording.
